Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines the standards of conduct required of all users of the VidGen AI platform. It exists to protect the safety and integrity of our platform, our users, and the public. This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.
By using VidGen AI, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account without refund.
2. Prohibited Content and Uses
The following types of content and uses are strictly prohibited on the VidGen AI platform. You may not use the Service to generate, process, distribute, or promote:
- Adult & Explicit Content: Sexually explicit, pornographic, or adult content of any kind, including nudity presented in a sexual context.
- Non-Consensual Synthetic Media: Deepfakes, face-swaps, or other synthetic media depicting real, identifiable persons without their explicit, documented consent. This includes public figures, celebrities, and private individuals alike.
- Child Safety Violations: Any content depicting minors in a sexual, exploitative, or harmful context. This is an absolute prohibition with zero tolerance. Such content will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Impersonation & Fraud: Content designed to impersonate, defraud, or deceive others, including synthetic media of real people used to spread false statements or create misleading impressions.
- Violence & Extremism: Content promoting, glorifying, or inciting violence, terrorism, armed conflict, hate speech, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
- Intellectual Property Infringement: Content that reproduces, distributes, or creates derivative works from copyrighted material without authorization, or that infringes any third-party trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary right.
- Illegal Activities: Content promoting, facilitating, or instructing in any activity that is illegal under applicable law, including but not limited to drug trafficking, weapons manufacturing, human trafficking, or financial fraud.
- Malicious Content: Malware, phishing schemes, social engineering attacks, spyware, ransomware, or any other malicious or deceptive digital content.
- Dangerous Misinformation: Medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical misinformation presented as fact, including false health claims, fraudulent investment advice, or fabricated news.
3. Platform Abuse
In addition to prohibited content, the following platform behaviors are prohibited:
- Scraping & Automated Access: Using automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or any means other than the official VidGen AI interface to access or extract data from the Service without express written permission.
- Reverse Engineering: Attempting to decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or otherwise discover the source code or underlying AI models of the Service.
- Rate Limit Circumvention: Attempting to bypass, disable, or circumvent any rate limits, usage quotas, or access controls implemented by the Service.
- Multi-Account Abuse: Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan restrictions, access free trials more than once, or otherwise gain unfair advantage.
- Referral Program Abuse: Self-referrals, use of fake or purchased accounts for referrals, coordinated referral fraud, or any other manipulation of the referral commission system.
4. Enforcement
VidGen AI uses a combination of automated detection systems and manual review to identify violations of this AUP. We monitor inputs and outputs for prohibited content categories. By using the Service, you consent to this monitoring.
When a potential violation is detected, we may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion:
- Block the specific generation request.
- Issue a warning to the account holder.
- Temporarily suspend the account pending review.
- Permanently terminate the account without refund.
- Report content to relevant authorities where legally required.
5. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior on the VidGen AI platform that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to us immediately:
Include as much detail as possible: a description of the content, when you encountered it, and any relevant screenshots or identifiers. We take all reports seriously and aim to review them within 24 hours on business days.
6. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Immediate removal of prohibited content.
- Temporary suspension of your account during investigation.
- Permanent ban from the VidGen AI platform.
- Forfeiture of any unused credits, remaining subscription period, and referral commissions without refund.
- Civil or criminal legal action where applicable law permits or requires it.
Severity of consequences scales with the nature of the violation. Child safety violations and terrorism-related content result in immediate permanent termination and mandatory reporting to authorities without exception.
7. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time to reflect changes in our platform, applicable law, or industry standards. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
