Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy covers all purchases made through the VidGen AI platform (“VidGen AI”, “we”, “our”, “us”), including monthly subscription plans and one-time topup credit packs. Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase. Different rules apply to subscriptions and topup packs as described below.

2. Subscription Refunds

Subscriptions (Basic $4.99/mo, Creator $39.99/mo, Pro $64.99/mo) renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard under “Billing Settings.” Upon cancellation, you retain access to all paid features until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months.

First-Time Subscriber Guarantee: If you are a first-time subscriber and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund of your initial subscription charge within 7 days of the first payment, provided you have not consumed more than 10% of the credits included in your plan. Renewal charges (second month onward) are not eligible for refund. We recommend canceling before your renewal date if you no longer wish to continue.

3. Topup Pack Refunds

Topup credit packs ($9.99/10 credits, $39.99/50 credits, $74.99/100 credits) are non-refundable once purchased, as credits are immediately added to your account balance upon successful payment.

Exception — Technical Failures: If a technical failure on our end prevents you from using purchased topup credits (e.g., credits were charged but not delivered to your account), contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of the purchase. We will investigate and, at our discretion, issue a credit restoration or refund.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email [email protected] with the subject “Refund Request — [your registered email]”. Please include:

  • Your registered account email address.
  • The date of purchase and the plan or pack purchased.
  • Your Stripe payment ID or receipt number (optional but speeds up processing).
  • A brief description of the issue (required for technical failure exceptions).

5. Processing Timeline

Refund requests are reviewed within 1–2 business days of receipt. Once approved, the refund is issued to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider, the credit will appear on your statement within 5–10 business days. We have no control over the processing time of your financial institution.

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following are explicitly excluded from our refund policy:

  • Consumed credits. Credits that have been used to generate videos represent compute time spent on your behalf and are non-refundable.
  • Subscription renewal charges (second month and beyond).
  • Topup packs where credits have been delivered to the account without technical failure.
  • Purchases made more than 7 calendar days before the refund request (for eligible first-time subscriptions).
  • Accounts suspended or terminated due to violations of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.

7. Partial Refunds

For eligible first-time subscription refund requests where some credits have been consumed (up to the 10% threshold), we may issue a partial refund proportional to unused credits at our discretion. Contact [email protected] to discuss your situation.

8. Chargebacks & Dispute Resolution

We strongly encourage you to contact us directly at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. Chargebacks significantly delay resolution and may result in your account being suspended pending investigation. We are committed to resolving all disputes fairly and promptly — most are resolved within 2 business days via direct contact.

If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication, it shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and both parties agree to attempt good-faith mediation before pursuing any legal action.

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to this page. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the VidGen AI platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
